This year’s sponsored walk in aid of the school’s nominated charity, SWAN/Dylan’s Story, took place on the afternoon of Tuesday 11 July. The whole school ventured out in torrential rain armed with coats and umbrellas, but nevertheless in high spirits.
Pupils from Years 3-10 covered a total of four miles with a half way stop for refreshments at the Biker’s Hut in High Beech. Many thanks to the NSPA for supplying the much appreciated squash and biscuits.
The EYFS and Key Stage 1 children were aiming for their own pitstop at Connaught Waters but were forced back early due to the rain.
Despite the unkind weather, a total of £2701.31 was raised, making it a very worthwhile venture.
