On Wednesday 29 November Year 11 had the privilege of attending a GCSE study day at the Globe Theatre. Pupils started the day with a guided tour of the impressive Globe Theatre, even having the opportunity to stand on the stage and perform lines from ‘Romeo and Juliet.
Everyone then took part in two workshops with a focus on the language, plot, themes and characters of ‘Romeo and Juliet’. The trip was great fun and the pupils loved being able to explore the Globe and learn about the history behind it and the stories that have been told there. It certainly gave everyone a lot to think about and will help Year 11 a lot when they sit their GCSEs.
