Year 3 conducted a science lesson on friction to see if the type of surface changes how far a toy car will move.
The class gathered around a ramp set up in the classroom and let the car roll down, changing the surface at the bottom of the ramp each time. Once the car had come to a stop they measured the distance and recorded the results. The tests were repeated multiple times to strengthen the conclusion.
The results showed that friction did play a part in how far the car travelled! What an interesting lesson.
