In their lessons Year 4 have been using their knowledge of translation to play games. They had to roll the dice to give them the number of spaces they would translate a co-ordinate to. They chose the direction they would travel in, in order to collect gems before their partner got there. In another group, they had to translate where Pac-Man was on the co-ordinates grid in order to reach the fruit and gain points. It was a fun way of exploring translation and everyone worked very well in their partners.
