Woodford Green Prep held the annual 5-a-side tournament at their school on Wednesday 14 March. This competition is always well attended by the local independent schools with plenty of good football being played in a very sporting manner. Normanhurst were drawn in a group that included Chigwell, Loyola, Daiglen and WGP B side.
Normanhurst started well with a good result against WGP B, but were brought back to reality with a heavy defeat against Loyola. This gave us the wake up call that was needed, and we went on to beat Daiglen and put ourselves in the position of having to win our last game to proceed to the semi-finals. However it was not our day, and we were defeated by Chigwell who proceeded to the semis. We would like to thank all the pupils who took part in the competition. Well done!
