Maths and Sports Merge for Year 4

Year 4 put a Maths spin on sports by taking part in a variety of activities. One activity required them to measure their throws accurately using a tape measure and then they had to round their answers afterwards. Another activity required them to accurately measure their long jumps and put these decimal numbers in order. The last activity was a beanbag throw where each hoop represented a different place value (units, tenths and hundredths), the children then had to calculate their total score at the end. It was a great way to prepare for Sports Day and practise their Math skills!
