The Early Years have been looking at ‘teeny, tiny things’ as part of their topic this term. On their recent weekly forest walk, they went in search of some woodlice following a brilliant story that Mrs Fisher had read called ‘Once Upon a Slime’. Unfortunately, the children did not find any woodlice, but did find lots of other creepy crawlies, including a worm. Sienna was not too impressed when she held the worm though!
Reception also enjoyed a trip to Chingford Library. They went in search of books about ‘teeny, tiny things’ and had fun scouring the shelves for different books. Everyone enjoyed using the local community as part of their learning.
