Pupils Work

Normanhurst School held their first exhibition of art work in the Art House Gallery in North Chingford.
Attended by parents, teachers and pupils, the exhibition was a showcase of some of the best work produced by pupils aged between 11-16. A wide range of different media was represented including painting, printmaking, drawing, ceramics and collage.
Payam Beint, Head of Art said "I am incredibly proud of our pupils and the Art House Gallery is such a fitting venue to showcase their work. It is important for us as teachers to really value the work of our pupils and what better way than to show their work in a professional environment."
Peter Reid and Mel Jacobs, owners of the Arthouse Gallery in Station Road said “It is a real pleasure to see so many children and parents in our gallery, they are very supportive of their children’s art and really encourage them to do more. As the local gallery in North Chingford we are keen to support aspiring local artists – whatever their ages“
Claire Osborn, Headmistress of Normanhurst School said “We are very fortunate to have an art teacher as inspirational as Mr Beint, he seems to be able to capture the children’s enthusiasm and release their artistic talent, enabling them to express their voices”
One pupil said “It was a bit nerve wracking to think of my art next to professional artists’ work, but when I saw it, it was great and my parents were very impressed. All the paintings were properly framed and hung, it looked really special”
