Seniors

The Senior School is divided into two Key Stages. These are as follows:

Key Stage 3:
Years 7 (11-12 years), 8 (12-13 years) and 9 (13-14 years)

Our Year 6 children are welcomed into the Senior School at Year 7 and are joined by pupils from local schools.  The fulfilment of each child’s academic potential is paramount to our aims and we specialise in teaching all seniors in classes with a maximum of 18 pupils to ensure more individualised learning and progression.  Subject specialists teach all lessons with setting in some areas. Our curriculum includes: Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, French, Spanish, Art, ICT, Music, Drama, Design Technology, PE, RE, Games, Social Moral Spiritual and Cultural (SMSC) and Citizenship.

The School is equipped with two Science labs, two ICT suites, Art / Design Technology rooms, a Music room and two well-stocked libraries with multimedia.  Learning support continues to be available to individual children and there is a specialist dyslexia unit for a small number of pupils.
