Normanhurst Sports Day - 14th May, Pickett's Lock Centre
Sports Day on 19th May promised sun, sport and plenty of friendly competition. The sun had little effect, the sport was great and the competition between houses, fierce.
The Senior event ended with the nail-biting relay races. Connaught appeared to be winning them all, when in a dramatic turn of events their senior boys' team was disqualified for fielding a warren runner!
At the end of the compeititon Warren managed to win back the senior trophy, after last year's defeat.

Normanhurst Netball Team Top of Group at ISA Rally
On Friday 4th December our netball team, made up of girls from Years 5 - 7, came top of their group at an ISA Netball Rally. Our first match was against Coopersale, but that was only a warm up. The Coopersale team was good, because they were fast, but we were still able to win 6-1. Hannah, our goalkeeper, tripped and twisted her knee and we had no substitute. However, help was kindly provided by our rivals Coopersale, who lent us one of their players to stand in.
After a ten minute break we won our next match with Miss Leggett as one of the referees. Hannah was then able to rejoin the game as she was feeling better.
In our next game Normanhurst won the toss and Jamillah chose to play a centre pass. At half time we were 4-0 up and were playing well until Victoria fell. She was treated by a St James first aider and was declared fit to continue. Luckily, there were only a few seconds left and we got the result we wanted.
We completed all the rounds against the following teams and finished top of our group. One of our best results was against the Swaminarayan, which was 9-2.
