CEOP Internet Safety Assembly

The Senior pupils were given an important assembly about their use of social media and were given advice on what to do if they are the victim of cyber bullying or online sexual exploitation.

As well as learning about ways to remain safe online, pupils were made aware of different groups they can contact for advice and help in addition to their parents peers and teachers. Pupils learnt about CEOPs and their role in protecting young people from online child exploitation and Childline who can also offer support and advice to young people.

In our assembly, we looked at the analogy of how social media use creates a digital tattoo, which remains online for other people to see including future employees.

The pupils reflected on 5 points that will help them to remain safe online and be mindful of what they are posting and its potential consequences.
