Year 5 have been displaying a flair for the dramatic arts in class this week. They have been showcasing the reconstruction of different stanzas from their class poem ‘Last Night I Saw the City…’
Not only did the pupils have to concentrate on remembering the lines from the poem, but they were also encouraged to think about speech, speed, pausing, facial expressions, freeze frames and their acting.
The rest of the children loved watching their classmates perform and it was a great way to further explore their understanding of the meaning behind the poem.
