As part of their topic of ‘Africa’, Year 2 were treated to a trip to Colchester Zoo on Tuesday. The children wrapped up warm and were very excited to go on their adventure!
Although the playground was a big hit, the best part of the day was of course seeing all the animals. Favourites were the mighty elephants and tall giraffes. The children were able to see these animals up close during feeding time! The children also got the opportunity to learn about different animals and study some of the animal displays laid out for them. They were particularly interested in the snake and crocodile skin!
