Year 2 Stone Age Workshop

On Friday 29 June Year 2 went to the Hunting Lodge for an exciting workshop all about the Stone Age. When the class arrived they worked in the classroom looking at artefacts from the Stone Age such as antlers, spear heads and leather.

They then travelled outside to the forest and made shelters using the logs in the surrounding areas! It was really fun, and the children worked really hard making sure that their shelter had a good roof and some even had a seating area! Lastly they made pots, plates or cups out of clay, the children moulded the clay and used leaves or sticks to make patterns/imprints on their clay. It was a really lovely afternoon and the children learnt a lot!
