On Wednesday 27 June, the whole of Early Years and the Junior School enjoyed a day with their new teachers in their new classrooms from September. Miss Greenin and Mrs Fisher welcomed the current Upper Kindergarten class into Reception, and tell us here about the day they all shared.
“Upper Kindergarten enjoyed their moving up day to Reception. We did a variety of activities to get the children used to what life in Reception is like. We read the story ‘Oh! The Places You’ll Go’ by Dr Seuss and linked our learning to journeys and the different places we would like to go. The children designed their own lovely hot air balloons and also did some balloon printing.
Meanwhile, Kindergarten also had a lovely time and enjoyed exploring their new learning environment alongside the new children that are joining in September.
The Early Years team are already busy planning, and are looking forward to another busy and successful year.”
