Year 9 Charity Cake Sale

On Tuesday 2 July we had a bake sale in which we sold cakes to Juniors and Seniors. Many pupils donated different types of cakes, homemade chocolate cupcakes, coconut and pineapple cakes, etc…  We were able to raise more than £200.  The money is going towards the school’s three charities, which include Ali’s Gift, the David Ashwell Foundation and the United World Schools Cambodia. For our service project, Year 9 decided this year we should do a bake sale to raise money for the three charities: Ali’s Gift, the David Ashwell Foundation and the United World Schools Cambodia.  We asked the whole school to bake and donate a cake, which we would sell during Junior and Senior break time.  We received loads of cakes from all over the school and in total we raised more than £200 to give to the three charities.  This bake sale was a great success and I hope we can do it again, to raise even more money for a great cause.
