GCSE Celebrations

Once again, Normanhurst is celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results for Year 11 pupils. 87% of grades achieved were at grade 4 or above, equivalent to a previous grade C or higher, with a quarter at grades 7-9, equivalent to the previous grades A*or A.

The pupils achieved particularly well in English and the creative and performing arts with 100% passes in English, Drama, Art, Graphic Design and Music, including a number of grade 9 awards, as well as 100% passes in the triple sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and French.

Mrs Osborn is proud of the pupils’ achievements: “Normanhurst pupils have risen to the challenge of the new GCSE courses and have demonstrated that they have the determination to succeed. Their success is very well deserved and is a testament to their hard work and commitment. They leave Normanhurst to join some outstanding schools and colleges, as well as some apprenticeship programmes.  I wish them all the very best for the future.

There were some excellent individual performances: Daniel achieved 9 passes at Grades 7 – 9, Sonia achieved 7, Nicole achieved 6 and Aaron achieved 5.

I’m proud to be able to see pupils move onto the next stage of their education as well-rounded, motivated young people who are well-equipped for life beyond Normanhurst”.

A huge WELL DONE to our hard working pupils! We wish you all the best for the future!
