Macmillan Cancer Support Cake Sale

Our annual charity cake sale made an amazing £560.17 for Macmillan Cancer Support!  Pupils were asked to bring in cakes that would be on sale at break time.  Our pupils and parents were very generous and did not let us down, resulting in a lot of cakes to sell!

At break time the Early Years children came in to purchase their cakes first, then the Juniors and finally the Seniors. By the end of break we were left with only two trays of cakes. Pupils from the charity committee were excellent in organising this event and worked hard to sell as many cakes as possible in the time available.

The Charity Committee took the decision to donate the leftover cakes to The Spinney Care Home. Mrs Huxford and Mrs Houssain escorted Charity Committee representatives Alexa and Hamza (9K) to The Spinney.  Staff there were delighted to see us and were very pleased to have the cakes for their residents. What a great day!
