On Tuesday 6 November, all of Year 2 went to the Gunpowder Mills in Waltham Abbey. It was a fantastic trip in which the pupils extended their learning about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, which has been their topic this term. The classes were able to also learn more about how people lived during the time of the gunpowder plot, for example, what games they played, what food they ate and how to write with ink and a quill. The children had a great day and really enjoyed it. It included practical activities like making a lantern and role-playing.
