The Year 5’s have learnt about a new poem called ‘Last Night I saw the City Breathing’, by Andrew Fusek Peters. They have been picking apart the poem and looking in particular for personification and imagery. In their most recent lesson they acted out different stanzas and created a class film. They enjoyed using drama in their English lessons to explore different ways of learning about poetry. The children will be writing their own poems over the next few days, so we are waiting for their work to come alive!
