As part of their Science topic of ‘Rocks and Soil’, Year 3 have been learning about how worms help to move soil around the earth. Much to the delight of the class, they have made their own wormery, where they will be able to view how earthworms help to create nutrient-rich soil, ready for growing new crops. It was certainly a messy job, but it will be a great opportunity to view the worms at work!
