On Monday 18 November Year 2 went for a trip to the Gunpowder Mills to learn more and engage in a variety of workshops on Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot. The children enjoyed a panto-like performance of the Gunpowder Plot which involved some of the children pretending to be the gunpowder. There were some crafty activities which involved making a lantern and a quill to write their name with. They also discovered the types of games and food they would have had when Guy Fawkes was alive. The sessions were really engaging and the children got involved with everything. This has added to the knowledge the children already had on Guy Fawkes.
