In Year 5 we learnt about Chinese New Year in PSHE. We learnt that the Chinese New Year is based around the Lunar New Year and that it has a cycle of years that are represented by animals. Kayce told us a little bit about how her family celebrate Chinese New Year and showed us one of the special red envelopes that are shared at this time of year. We also got to try Prawn Crackers and we each got a fortune cookie!
