As part of our Science Week, pupils have been creating art for the theme ‘Animals’.
Our creative pupils in Year 2 used a huge range of different materials, including foil, clay, felt pens, shaving foam and paint to create some lovely art of fish, seahorses and starfish for a underwater themed display board.
Year 6 used clay to carve and model different animals. Although it was a messy few hours, the final products were of great standard. Once they are dry, the children will enjoy painting their creations.
Years 3 and 6 also had fun with their origami skills, attempting to make various animals using origami paper. We have so far made crabs and butterflies. In our next session, we plan to make sea turtles and rhinos.
