Yesterday a very prestigious event was held in the staff room of Normanhurst, the Staff Bake Off! A few members of staff took part in this long awaited event, and there was only one thing on their mind, who would be crowed Star Baker?!
There were three categories to bake, sweet, savoury and vegan, and we had a range of entries including vegan carrot cake, tiramisu, and butternut squash and goats cheese rolls to name a few. The staff were given the difficult decision of rating each bake and picking a winner from each category.
It was a very difficult decision but after much deliberation, the category winners were:
Vegan – Carrot Cupcake – Miss Reid!
Sweet – Lemon Sponge – Mrs Prior!
Savoury – Squash and goats cheese rolls – Mrs Coates!
But the first ever Normanhurst Bake Off Champion of 2020..
