In Maths, Year 1 have been using place value rods to practise partitioning numbers. They are now very confident with their understanding of place value and can use the place value rods to make lots of different numbers. Pupils showed their understanding when they played a place value quiz and partitioning game in class, and were very quick with their answers! They have started to use their knowledge of place value to add 2-digit and 3-digit numbers together.
