Year 2 children have enjoyed their return to school. They have enjoyed using the forest to complete some outdoor learning. This has included looking for a good stick to create a flower they finished making in class with a piece of kitchen paper they coloured in. Summer simile poems were then created in groups with some lovely similes used including ‘smell a flower, fresh like mint, feel the wind blowing like a warm breeze and touch a stick that is as thin as a piece of paper.’
