Year 2 have been studying ‘Peter and the Wolf’ by Prokofiev. This is a great piece to introduce children to different instruments. On Zoom calls the pupils were introduced to the flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and the French horn. They even had a special appearance by a senior pupil, showing them how to play the violin.
Year 2 then spent time making their own creative responses to the story. The whole project finished with Year 2 retelling the story of Peter and the Wolf. We were very impressed with all the talented musicians, artists and storytellers in Year 2. Well done!
