Both new and existing pupils enjoyed their Year 7 Induction morning yesterday. The day gave them the chance to get to know each other better, meet some of their teachers and have a tour of the school. They all had a lot of fun in their taster Art and Science lessons.
In Art they were challenged with the task of creating an artistic map of their journey to school. Working collaboratively during the activity, they had to work together to decide the best materials to create their map. In Science, Year 7 were given an exciting introduction to bunsen burners. After donning their goggles and learning the proper safety procedures, they used splints soaked in different solutions to create some crazy, colourful flames.
We are looking forward to the year ahead!
