This half term the children in Early Years have been learning about the Countryside. They turned the garden area into a huge construction site and took ideas from their book of the week, The Three Little Pigs, to design and create their own buildings from a variety of media. The children spent time designing and planning their building before they got busy.
Once everyone had finished, the children wondered if they would be able to blow them down like the Big Bad Wolf. Despite lots of huffing and puffing they found it was an impossible task. The children had great fun whilst learning about materials for building. There were lots of opportunities to explore building and creating using the role play toys.
