Year 1 love SPaG, especially when they go outside for their learning!
Pupils went on a ‘Noun Hunt’ in the large playground to identify examples of common nouns and then wrote and drew the examples they had found. They learned that nouns are names of things.
A few days later, they went on an ‘Adjective Hunt’ in the Early Years playground. Pupils looked closely at some nouns and then carefully described them using lots of exciting adjectives. Their favourite adjectives were bumpy, massive, peachy, disgusting and smelly..!
