Reception Learn All About The Human Skeleton

The children in Reception have become very interested in the human body during our Science lessons. This week we have been looking at skeletons supported by the story of Funny Bones. The class worked in 2 teams to make their own skeleton and we had lots of fun singing and dancing along to the skeleton song. We drew skeletons and chose our favourite, well done Emma.

Together the children created a collage of the body with all the vital organs. They explored how a bone can be quite hard but soft in the centre and snaps just like a crunchie bar. Finally we played the game of operation and practiced very carefully removing objects from the body with tweezers.
