Reception were captivated by the story ‘The Room on the Broom’. After reading the book, they decided to create their own magic potion with the help of ‘Witch Elwis’. They gathered around the table and all added special ingredients in to the magic potion including eyes, spiders, rainbows and even a broomstick. We cast a magic spell and then the potion started bubbling and fizzing!
After all the excitement of the potion it was time for some painting. The children used ‘magic broomsticks to swirl the paint along the page making lovely bright paintings. It was a fantastic day and the children can’t wait to read the book all over again.
