Reception loved their first forest walk of 2022. In class we have been learning about Canada and the maple tree and leaf, counting it’s points and looking at how the shape is different from other leaves. Armed with a sheet full on pictures we decided to look for different types of leaves we might find in Epping Forest. We discovered that there are a lot of holly bushes in the forest and we could recognise the leaves really easily. We even saw some amazing fungus growing on an old tree!
