Life After Normanhurst

We offer aptitude tests in Year 10, as well as careers talks and work experience.  Our Year 11 pupils are given mock Sixth Form interviews with extensive feedback.

There is an information evening on the process of choosing a Sixth Form, which both parents and pupils attend.  Our teachers prepare a detailed reference for each pupil, which lists their academic achievements and their contributions to life at the school.

Our pupils have been successful in their applications to a number of popular schools, both independent and state, and some have gained scholarships.  Pupils are encouraged to be diligent and committed students who know the value of hard work.

The vast majority choose to study locally in independent and state schools, grammar schools or colleges.  Although most take A Level courses with the expectation of going on to university, some of our students have chosen vocational subjects such as interior design, ICT and sports.
